Location

We offer the full range of RYA practical sailing courses in the tidal waters of the eastern Canary Islands.

We are based in the town of Corralejo on the beautiful island of Fuerteventura. Corralejo is a short transfer from Fuerteventura airport (airport code is FUE). Fuerteventura is served by many airlines from most UK airports. You can see some photos of Corralejo on our Facebook gallery.

The Canary Islands have a sub-tropical climate that provides ideal sailing conditions and the sun is nearly always shining.

What Lonely Planet says about Fuerteventura:

“Fuerteventura lies just 100km from the African coast, and there are striking similarities in the landscape, as well as the houses with their North African-style flat roofs for collecting rainfall. In other ways, Fuerteventura emulates it’s neighbour Lanzarote, only with more colours. It’s volcanoes resemble piles of saffron, chilli and coriander, surreal triangles of exotic spices.

Most visitors however, are more interested in mastering the waves and the wind than contemplating the abstract aesthetics of it’s scenery. The second largest island in the archipelago (after Tenerife), Fuerteventura has year-round sunshine and the biggest and best beaches in the Canaries” – © Lonely Planet
